Released: TFS Bug Item Synchronizer 1.4 for Quality Center

Next version of popular TFS Bug Item Synchronizer for Quality Center is now released.

TFS Bug Item Synchronizer is an tool which allows testing and development teams to work together using tools built for their usage. Testers enter defects in Quality Center and when defect is created and updated into TFS, developer can fix it, link all changes to it and mark it as fixed. After this the tester will continue process on Quality Center side to verify the fix.

Testers will only need to use Quality Center and developers TFS, no need to have both applications on both teams as this tool works totally on the server side.

This version supports

  • Quality Center 9.2 
  • Quality Center 9.0
  • Quality Center 8.2
  • TestDirector 8.0
  • Team Foundation Server 2005
  • Team Foundation Server 2008

Major new features include following:

  1. Default values for TFS or Quality Center items can now be set without matching field in source system
  2. TFS Work Item type is now project specific. This allows teams to use different TFS project templates and still do the synchronization using same server.
  3. Added positive include filter and negative exclude filtering possibility to allow greater flexibility on how the TFS Work items are selected for synchronization.

Yes, you can test it on XP, you just need to have the IIS installed in there as well.

I am able to sync items from TFS to QC However QC - TFS is failing. The YapWatcher service is throwing the exception shown below. I do have that DLL on the machine the service is running. The only difference is when I go to the GAC the version is not 9.0.0.0, but 8.0.0.0 Need help, this is my last hurdle. Just use the admin tool to switch TFS client version.

Also, use the forum side for these, easier to handle over there.
