TFS Bug Item Synchronizer is an tool which allows testing and development teams to work together using tools built for their usage. Testers enter defects in Quality Center and when defect is created and updated into TFS, developer can fix it, link all changes to it and mark it as fixed. After this the tester will continue process on Quality Center side to verify the fix. Similar to this developer can create a work item and have it synchronized over to Quality Center for testers to verify the fix.

With this tool it is possible to synchronize both Quality Center Defects and Requirements with TFS work items.

Testers will only need to use Quality Center and developers TFS, no need to have both applications on both teams as this tool works totally on the server side.

OffRoad 2.5 for HP Quality Center

OffRoad is a tool which enables offline usage of HP Quality Center and TestDirector.

OffRoad makes test execution possible in disconnected environments. This means that test planning and analyzing is done fully on the Test Management server, but actual test execution is no longer tied to certain location or network connection.

It allows you to download selected test set, selected defects and requirements to your local computer, execute test cases, add and modify defects and later upload changes back to the server for online analysis.

Users of OffRoad have reported hundreds of hours of saved project working time because of this opportunity. Before OffRoad they have been forced to do double work: first do the testing and report test results to some text file and later on redo the *testing* using Quality Center to get the results into the Test Management server. With the help of OffRoad, they need to do this only once.

Import Export Utility 1.8 for Quality Center

Next version of utility which has been included in the Utility Tool setup.

With this version it is now possible to export requirements and test cases from Quality Center into Excel format with few simple steps by selecting test cases from Test Plan tree.

We are creating small utilities and enhancements that work with Quality Center.

Many of these are custom made for some specific customer, but some of these we will also make available for other users.

General Utilities

General Utilities is holding many smaller and bigger utilities which help users to maintain their projects.

Advanced Test Set Reset and Change Utility

Allows users to change values for Test Case in Test Set over selected Test Sets and optionally remove all the runs as well while doing this.

Very helpfull utility when you need to mark for example your current build number into many test cases in test sets.

Test Plan Test Case Move Utility with Folder Structure

With this utility it is possible to selectively move test cases under one folder to another folder. Folder structure from original source is also created into destination, if it is not yet existing over there. It is also possible to use private favorite to limit the test cases that are being moved. By default all test cases are moved if no favorite is selected.

Export List of Quality Center / Test Director Users into Excel file

This utility allows Site Administrators to extract all users into Excel file. Also allows to select project information for user. You will need Site Administrator password in order to use this utility.

Utility will export user details like name, fullname, e-mail, description and phone number into Excel file:

XML Reporting

XML Reporting will help you to export all your relevant data out from Quality Center or TestDirector into XML format for further analysis. You can then open this XML file for example in Excel.

SQL Reporting

Using this it is possible to export all data from TestDirector or Quality Center project into XML or Excel format.
Includes also SQL syntax highlightning.

What this does is

For every selected defect for synchronization in Quality Center, it creates matching workitem item in TFS (with a http link to original defect)
For every selected workitem item in TFS, it creates matching defect in Quality Center
For every defect updated in Quality Center, it updates matching workitem item in TFS
For every update in TFS, it updates matching defect in Quality Center accordingly
Offers also possibility to link one TFS workitem item into many Quality Center defects (inside same project or in different projects, does not really matter) and update all related Quality Center defects when TFS workitem is updated
Copies attachments from Quality Center defect over to TFS workitem when creating new workitem
Copies attachments from TFS workitem over to Quality Center defect when creating new defect
Updates new attachments from Quality Center defect over to TFS workitem after initial synchronization

All these actions are done on the background by this integration, tester does not need to have Team Foundation System Client installed nor developer any Quality Center components.
